    Fall Play

    Patio - Courtyard - CRT
    IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT…..

The Archmere Drama Club announces its fall play production, It Happened One Night…  The time period is the late 1920’s and John and Helena Raskob have invited you to dinner at their beautiful Archmere estate to celebrate their generous contribution to the building of the Empire State Building in New York City.   You are invited, along with some of the most famous celebrities of the time period:  novelists F. Scott Fitzgerald and Zelda Fitzgerald, movie star Tallulah Bankhead, Mr. Pierre DuPont, Abbott Bernard Pennings, O. Praem, and many more.  But, in the middle of the celebration, a person is found murdered!  Can you help Detective Rochenbacher solve the murder?

Your ticket to the evening includes a three-course meal, entertainment, “Patio Bucks” (which you can use to buy hints and clues), and a chance at winning the grand prize for successfully identifying the murderer.   And, since it is a week before Halloween, dress up in the style of the 1920’s to earn even more “Patio Bucks” to help you solve the mystery.

The Grand Prize will include many Archmere items and other surprises, including two free tickets to the Prom of your choice!

It Happened One Night… was completely written by the cast and crew of the show!  The show will be performed in the Patio on Friday October 25th and Saturday October 26th with doors opening at 6:30pm.  The show portion of the evening begins at 7pm.  Tickets will be $50 for general audience, and $35 for students of any school, senior citizens, and faculty and staff and their families.  The three-course meal will be a Caesar salad, chicken alfredo, and a dessert.  Please email Mr. Manelski directly if for dietary alternative meals (vegetarian or gluten free).  Include the name of the purchaser of the ticket and what night you are attending.

Tickets with table selection can be purchased at the Seatyourself website:  archmereacademy.seatyourself.biz.   Please purchase tickets before October 18th so we can let the catering company know how many people are attending.
